  2016 Summer Films Survey! Pick Your Favorite Films!
The Grand Theatre will once again showcase seven classic films this summer that you, our audience, select. Please click on the link below to participate in a survey through Survey Monkey and make your seven selections from the FOUR film categories: 2015 Critically Acclaimed, Family, Animated and Foreign Films. The Grand will show the films that receive the most votes!  
 
The voting deadline is 4PM, March 25, 2016.
 
The Grand  will present these films on alternating Fridays with the Farmers Bank Old Capitol Lawn Concert Series. Our film dates are June 3 and 17, July 1, 15 and 29, and August 12 and 26.  
 
Your vote is important. Please take this three to five-minute survey to be in the running for the two 2016 summer film series passes!  You must also complete the contact information on Page 3 of the survey. This information is not required if you do not wish to win this prize. The individual who enters their contact information and who also selects the most winning films first will be eligible to win the two passes.

"Social Butterfly" Junior Girl Scout Badge WorkshopJunior Girl Scout troops in Kentucky's Wilderness Road Council are invited to visit Liberty Hall to earn the "Social Butterfly" badge at the Liberty Hall Historic Site, 202 Wilkinson. The State Journal's more than 80,000 monthly visitors will notice some changes to its website. You'll still find it at the same address, www.state-journal.com, but online readers will now be more engaged with public opinion polls, events listings and have improved access to the photo galleries. The redesign was launched with readers in mind. The size of type in stories hasn't change, but the styles of the headlines have. Additionally, the way items are presented will give a more crisp and modern feel.Don't worry - access to news, features, sports, editorials, classified listings and obituaries will remain free, although readers will be asked to participate in short Google surveys. (Paid users won't see surveys and will be able to access archives at no cost) More information about changes can be found at state-journal.com
