My name is Kaylah Smith and I am the new Executive Director for Downtown Frankfort Inc. I was raised in Frankfort and am excited to put my skills to use for helping Downtown Frankfort thrive.
My alma mater is Western Hills High School and there, I met my husband, Tyler Smith. Tyler is the Manager at 84 Lumber. We currently reside on the west side of town and have a precious baby boy, Ryker, and a fur-baby, Grizzly, our chocolate lab. In my free time, I love spending time with my family who are very close and do pretty much everything together. After high school, I attended Western Kentucky University where I received my Bachelor of Science. Once graduated, I moved back to Frankfort. I always knew I would come back and live in the capital city. Frankfort is home. That’s why I am so eager to give back to my community - to make downtown a fun place to live and visit. I want visitors around the state to fall in love with our beautiful historic downtown. My background is in event planning through my experience with the Kentucky State Police. My goal for downtown Frankfort is to enhance the atmosphere of downtown, organize events that bring the community together, to help build an environment that strengthens local businesses, and make Frankfort a progressive place to live, work and play. |
