Kick off summer with live music, children & arts activities, a car cruise, a skate jam, and refreshments at Lakeview Park on Sunday, May 26th! This event is free & everyone is welcome!
Live music all day featuring:
The Blue Crawdads • NewTown • Bootsie and Funkabilly • New Orleans Suspects
Josephine Sculpture Park will host an Art Barn with FREE art activities such as a Blacksmith Hammer Demo, Chalk Talk, Bookbinding & Nature Journals, Build-Your-Own Cardboard World, Exploring the Night Sky, Color Feathered Friends, and Paint Large. Special hour-long workshops will begin at 1:00pm.
Local favorite Russ Kennedy will be cooking up gumbo, smoked and spicy sausages, burgers, and hotdogs. Sweet T's Tasty Dog & Soul food truck will be serving up other Cajun flavors, Drop the Fork BBQ will be there with their BBQ, and of course, Taylor Belle's ice cream will be there! Our local breweries; Sig Luscher, West Sixth, and Goodwood will be serving up cold beer. The Frankfort Plant Board will be providing free water filing stations, so bring your reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Ale-8-One and Elk Creek Vineyards will be there to help quench your thirst too!
The Capital City Classic Auto Club and the Frankfort Mustangs Club will be on hand for a car cruise starting at 12:30pm in the Franklin County Career & Technical Center parking lot.
Friends for Skateparks and Hearts and Handrails will showcase a skate jam at the recently updated skate park!
Feeders Supply will provide a cooling pool for dogs.
Foggy Bottom Petting Zoo will be there too!
